How to recognize a A330-300
- Long twin-aisle fuselage with a relatively short-looking wing.
- Two very large engines, one under each wing.
- Four-wheel main bogies and a long rear fuselage that slims to the tail.
- Looks almost identical to the A340-300 except it has two engines instead of four.
How it looks on a flight tracker
Typically flies FL330 to FL400 at 450 to 550 kt. DAL is the main US callsign, but foreign callsigns such as AFR, KLM, DLH and CPA are common near coastal gateways.
History
The A330-300 entered service with Air Inter in 1994. Airbus later launched the re-engined A330-900neo, which Delta also operates.
