    How to recognize a CRJ200

    • Very slim, tube-like fuselage with two engines on the rear and a T-tail.
    • Small winglets at the wingtips.
    • Short length and low to the ground; passengers often board by stairs.
    • Much shorter than the CRJ700 and CRJ900.

How it looks on a flight tracker

Cruises at FL270 to FL370 at 380 to 460 kt, often on short hops. Look for SKW, EDV and AWI callsigns.

    History

The CRJ100 entered service with Lufthansa CityLine in 1992, and the improved CRJ200 followed. More than 1,000 CRJ100/200s were built.
